Scott and the band have an extensive tour lined up for 2017. It is shaping up to be one of the busiest years in recent history. And they are kicking off the touring season with a brand new show. Twin Fiddle Express is a country-themed show featuring Scott and his sister Kendra on – you guessed it – Twin Fiddles! They love to play in sweet harmony!
A champion fiddler in her own right, Kendra won the Canadian Open Fiddle Championships in 2016 for her age category. Kendra has also been a winner of the Canadian Open Junior Championships, the Ladies Open winner, and has had multiple wins in the National 19-49 age category for fiddling. Kendra is perhaps best known for her antics on stage – especially as “Minnie Pearl”.
Joining Scott & Kendra on stage is guitar virtuoso Steve Piticco. His unique style of picking has taken him to stages worldwide. Known as the “Telecaster Master” he is worth the price of admission on his own.
Bill Carruthers keeps time on drums this year. He has toured with Scott before, but Bill has also shared the stage with the Family Brown, Michelle Wright, Ronnie Prophet and Kitty Wells. His smooth vocals on tunes like Route 66 and Bonaparte’s Retreat will take you back.
Patrick Linton will be playing bass this year for Twin Fiddle Express. He is 18 years old and is also a champion Ottawa-Valley Step Dancer. He has an admiration for Johnny Cash music and will sing Folsom Prison Blues reminiscent of the “Man in Black”.
Twin Fiddle Express will be travelling from the end of March until mid-August. There are dates across Canada and about 3 weeks in the mid-North-West USA as well.
