Dear Friends of the Scott Woods Band,

Hello, and we hope this letter finds everyone well! This is a general letter to all of our fans. We have talked or texted with many of you over the past several months, but we wanted to make sure that everyone gets the same message. It has been wonderful to hear from those of you who have been checking in on us throughout this pandemic. Thank you for your concern and support. We do appreciate it.

As you all are aware, when the coronavirus pandemic hit in March, all musicians/entertainers were forced to shut down and cancel all planned events. We were very aware of the seriousness of the situation, and of course we abided by the Canadian recommendations to “stay home and help flatten the curve,” and cancelled all live performances from March to June. At that time, we could not have imagined that things would still be so different come Autumn.

Throughout the summer, when the numbers of cases of Covid-19 were decreasing, we were optimistic that our European tour in Germany, would be able to happen, and the shows would go on as scheduled. However, it was clear by mid-June that we would not be able to get to Europe to play. Another huge disappointment for all.

We know that we are all at risk, and we want to keep everyone safe. Unfortunately, with the second wave hitting, and the risk of contacting the coronavirus increasing, we have chosen to officially cancel the 2020 Old Time Christmas tour as well. Needless to say, we are devastated once again.

We still hope to once again tour across Canada playing the fiddle music that we love, at some point, when it is safe to do so. We would like to thank all of you for your understanding in this matter, and we look forward to seeing you again. Until then, please stay safe and healthy!
