The Scott Woods Band has been travelling across North America for many years. Often playing upwards of 150 shows each year, we have seen a lot of geography and had a lot of laughs along the way. Almost all of our performances are fundraisers for charities, churches and community organizations, so it truly is a win-win for everyone involved. Every year we do a brand new show - and a new Christmas show as well.

I'm so pleased to introduce Amanda MacInnis on this album. She has performed with us since she was 9 years old, stealing the show with her fabulous fiddling, sensation step dancing and, as you will hear her wonderful singing!

This CD was recorded at various live performances of the Scott Woods Show over the past few years.

It was primarily recorded for nostalgia sake as an archival remembrance of a particular tour. But along the way some very emotional and heart-felt performances were captured - they are not necessarily "perfect" but rather spontaneous and passionate. The recording was taken as a "board-mix" with no ability to alter the levels of each instrument after-the-fact. There are no re-takes, auto-tune or overdubs - just the feeling of the performance as it happened onstage.

You will hear imperfections, crowd noise and all of the sounds that put you, the listener right in the middle of the audience at one of our live shows. So close your eyes and picture yourself at a beautifully decorated church or theatre, with twinkling lights and the joy of the Christmas Spirit alive in the air and in your heart and experience an Old Time Christmas - Live!
