Stay Tuned is a recording that looks back in time to when the live variety shows were so popular on the radio and the television. These shows created a time when families would gather around to listen to their favourite programs. They offered an invitation to forget your cares and worries and tap your feet to the beloved songs of your ancestors.

Most of the early variety shows spotlighted talent from many sources; they were the ideal springboard for fresh new faces - a place where legends of the past gave birth to the stars of the future. For the aspiring musicians, they served an educational purpose as well, offering a way to hear and learn new music. And the variety shows were aptly named. They featured a wide variety of musical styles.

The music on this CD is a reflection of the kind of raw energy created when musicians gathered behind the microphone and broadcast their talents - live to the folks listening in at home.

In the meantime, there's no need to change the dial, just Stay Tuned for some Canadian Old Time music down close to the old hardwood floor. Enjoy!
